Quality Boost combines two built-in effects: Unsharp Mask, which adds crispness to edges, and Lumetri Color, which adds a little contrast and clarity. It helps footage hold up after TikTok and Instagram compress your upload.

  1. Put an adjustment layer at the very top of your composition, above any grades.
  2. Apply BD Quality Boost to it.
  3. Zoom to 100% and check fine detail such as hair and text.
  4. If edges look crunchy or haloed, lower the Unsharp Mask amount in Effect Controls.
